vivid images of nature in this Senryu ; the sounds of rain pelting rocks; the voice of winter's scream ( a wonderful choice); and then you add to this your own person, and of course the seagulls talking (squawking) to you...so you've combined nature and humanity in a perfect verse....and may the seagulls speak only splendid words to you, my dear Pat.
Best, B

Short but powerful imagery offered in this Senryu. I enjoyed the vision of the poet's pen.

The shore holds the winter so tenderly, dear Pat. It subdues winter's screams till she sighs with bliss. The seagulls send you their lovely sea spells. Your words pay such an amazing, emotional tribute to Nature.

An enigmatic jewel, is it haiku as it is certainly about natures glory or is it senryu as it also refers to human in the last seven as self, gorgeous view as if seeing from a frosty window a frothy shoreline of seagulls calling for you to come feed them so much comes to the imagination. A very fine poem in my humble opinion

Hi Jacob… it was set up as a Haiku; however, it still makes me chilly. It reminds me of the Title.. Walk on the Wild side… if you dare. Thanks for reading. I bought a Black Ebony Upright Piano at The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store. I may be able to sing Poems at some point in Time. I had piano lessons years ago to play easy Sheet Music. Wish I could play by Ear. gently, Pat

I would imagine the power of the sea in the height of winter could almost cancel out the screeching seagulls. You took me to Torquay promenade where the waves were battering the front. No one was walking there. Winter is a cruel season Pat.
