Love Smoke

Love Smoke

A Poem by Paul Bell

I draw you in
Five rings of smoke appear like magic
Your face on every one
Christ how romantic am I
Maybe drink a JD  in your honour
It's amazing how little things bring you to me
The phone comes alive halfway through your honour
Your soft sexy voice sends a tingle down my spine
You say it's over
Well, that was out of the blue
I draw you in
The sign on the packet
Smoking can damage your health and eventually kill you
So profound
I check the bottle of JD
No warning on that
You disappear into the clouds
Every one a silver lining.

Yeah i suppose it should.
Five rings of smoke - makes it sound like an Olympic event. So when the flame goes out , there's always the spirit to participate again.

Sure he's doing that as we speak.
Well that's just delicious and yes I agree - easy, too easy in fact to draw one in. Come in to my web darling, I spin it just for you. Oh yes yes ... I see them here, there and everywhere. In the cracks within reality mainly (my reality - not theirs)

This is great. Refreshingly original - nice one Bob ... I mean Paul 😃

Romance and alcohol. They sort of go together.

Aloha Paul, this is casually cool, sarcastically romantic, with a hint of destruction...lol. I really enjoyed the tone and flow of this. Izzy

God bless the emergency bottle of J>D
YEAH. LOVE that. Apologies for my overreaction. Now THATS the stuff my mind drinks and torn soul consumes.
Strong flow. Keep it up man.

I love the nonchalant tone you carry here
Its what an artist does
Lives through things
never the other way round

Really cool !!!

Blank verse is not generally my thing, but I like this. It made me smile and i think everyone can identify with the situation.

Yeah i think it's out there.
This poem had an unique feel, sort of a dry dark nihilistic humor about it. I liked how you concluded it with just drifting off into the carefree. Smart philosophical idea at the end about being okay!
