Love Smoke

Love Smoke

A Poem by Paul Bell

I draw you in
Five rings of smoke appear like magic
Your face on every one
Christ how romantic am I
Maybe drink a JD  in your honour
It's amazing how little things bring you to me
The phone comes alive halfway through your honour
Your soft sexy voice sends a tingle down my spine
You say it's over
Well, that was out of the blue
I draw you in
The sign on the packet
Smoking can damage your health and eventually kill you
So profound
I check the bottle of JD
No warning on that
You disappear into the clouds
Every one a silver lining.

Strangely enough, she never came back, married some nice guy and is living happily ever after.
When love fades away in the smoke rings; the heart yearns and mourns over the loss. Unfortunately you aren’t going to find the answers in the bottom of Mr Daniels bottle either.

Mr Daniels just puts love in prospective.
you catch her in a cloud of smoke rings, then lose her in that same cloud; maybe if you stopped smoking, she would stick with you, the bottle is all that's left, no signs of danger on that one...I'm trying to be funny but love and loss are really not. I love the writing here; it's dark humor....

Hope everything works out.
there should be a warning label on relationships...they can be hazardous to your heart.
