Paradise Cove

Paradise Cove

A Poem by Paul

Under the warm southern sky
Where a different world exists
A whole paradise lies,
I had to give her one last kiss

It was all like a dream
I didn't want to wake
So serene is this place
The feelings I had, were no mistake

Here I am now, home for a rest
Longing for more time,
The memories I have,
My heart beats strong in my chest

A new journey has started,
The destination, I don't yet know
But I shall meet you there,
Back in the paradise cove.

A poem full of optimistic hope. I hope he met her there, back in the paradise cove! The irregular and near rhymes seem fine to me... seem to add to the wimsyness! I enjoyed your well structured poem.

Thank you once again for your kind review :)
Your such a romantic, it shows in your poetry.
It sure is a wonderful thing.
You seem to be a dreamer as well haha.
You can tell a fair bit from a persons poetry.
I liked this one to.
The rhyme scheme just tops it off.
Wonderful write :)

I like this. A lot. Stanza three needs its sentences juggled to follow the same rhyme sequence. :) I.I.
