FACE TO FACE

All along your favorite lost horizon
standing still while mirror worlds collide
Aching for an enigmatic wise one
where the fountain wonders seek 'n' hide

In the midnight hour comes your godsend
holy rows of roses in her sighs
Budding into flowers off the deep end
burning true within each other's eyes

Rite of passage rollin' 'cross the border
of all those hot chimeras that still fade
Over time your life is made to order
random organisms in the shade

In the midnight hour. . .

Face to Face in the human race
feel a fresh way of living. . .

Tell me twice just what you find amusing
in "we who are about to die" salutes
While I find some cryptic tunes for cruising
radical is ever only roots

In the midnight hour. . .

Face to Face. . .

i dare you to write something simple next time
though I personally craze for such prose
tip toeing here and there and striking the correct syllable
with such a soothing tone

magicI really mean it.
Its extraterrestrialsimply perfect and synchronised for your song

i just discovered the songs by the way

"In the midnight hour comes your godsend

Definitely my favourite lines: the "r" and the "o" repeated give the impression of hearing a machine... The world is a sort of machine, maybe - rolling against nature, rolling in the rhythm of "the human race"...
I also love the music - good melody and tempo ;)

A few familiar terms there..... read some of my poems and you'll know what I mean! Haha! But you are just an awesome writer! Too cool.

I see you call them lyrics to your songs and it freezes me up....I don't know how to read them when they are called lyrics...seriously...haha
I'm not sure how the rhythm goes and so I get frustrated...sorry. That sounds terrible!! I love the ending and the title....

i enjoy the way you use words. i like the way you reverse things that people are familiar with like"seek and hide." the intensity in this piece grabs me extra because they are lyrics. As a poem, the intensity is expected but songs today don't have this kind of feel and I like how it gets the listener, or reader. There are a few lines that really stand out to me.... one of them is "Tell me twice just what you find amusing
in "we who are about to die" salutes " And the first line brought me in immediately..."All along your favorite lost horizon standing still while mirror worlds collide"
I look forward to reading more.

Your work puts others to shame. What a vast oasis of knowledge you are, and to be able to put it into poetry, lyrics, and more.
Incredible work!

Well done...again, I can not hear the music - I will have to wait until I am at another computer but this is quite lyrical and the words are moving. My favorite lines, I think are, 'Aching for an enigmatic wise one
where the fountain wonders seek 'n' hide' - nicely done. Thank you for sharing your talent.
Light,
Siddartha

Mmmm, this is beautifully written. Like to hear what it would sound like sung...or even coming from the throat of Cat Power.
