Soft Slurr

Soft Slurr

A Poem by Payton ThaProphet

So many things that I have resting on my shoulders. The weight would break a lesser man. As the seasons change I get older, A stranger in the dark is relieving. I relive the distraction of the senseless reactions with every breath I take. This grain of sand on the beach of eternity, distinct and incredible is fate. Poised for ready and ever silenced, the violent decision to stay. It haunts me deeply and still I'm weeping, remain vigilant in depression to this day. Sleep eludes me on this dark winter night, the weather is particularly warm with delight. Simple yet selective memory that plagues, screams that I'll rue the day and pray for the night. Brilliantly designed to the greatest of divine happenings, it's actually soothing. The beauty of the mind, intertwined and genuine, genuinely a genius in choosing.
