Our Knot

Our Knot

A Poem by Busy Losing Myself
"

He let go before I did

"
I tied our knot tight, I pulled you close.
Every time I saw your smile, heard your laugh, or felt you touch, I held on a little bit tighter.
But it seemed the tighter I held on, the looser the rope became.

My grip didn't matter anymore, because no matter how tight I held or how hard I pulled,

You had already let go of your end.

Wow, just a fantastic little poem. I can't begin to tell you how much I loved it. It's beautifully written and yet so terribly sad. I felt like my own heart was breaking as I read it. What is it that they say, you may break my heart but I'll still love you with all the little pieces.

A wonderful poem, well done. :)
