I am an Ocean

Another extended metaphor. It's describing ME more though, so I hope you like it. :D

I am an ocean.

Flowing and free,

Leaking through cracks that others

Can’t see.

 

I cover wherever I go with blue

Without even meaning to.

 

I am an ocean.

I am a book, closed forever.

 

I only let very few read me,

They are the ones I’ve known the longest.

The others only get the cover,

The only piece of me that’s happy…

And optimistic.

 

Only a few can read me while I have this cover up.

Only a few know me that well.

 

I am an ocean.

I am a book.

An ocean leaks through cracks.

A book is closed forever until pried open again.
