The feelings of being forever alone. And not being accepted in my own society.

The feeling that creeps over me

When I see them gather in groups

Laughing and talking

And never recognizing how my soul

Yearns for a true friend

A Kindred spirit

Forever Alone

The feeling when my mind

Tells my heart

To stop fearing the realness

Of life

The true thing that is gripping me

And pulling and tugging me in life

The fact that I may never

Have someone to love and call my own

Forever Alone

The feeling when I watch

Those sappy Nicholas Sparks

Type movies

And I start to wonder

About a life where

I can decide on who will be mine

I would defenently have you

But I now know that I can't

Because you are a true follower

That follows the people that

Do no accept me

Everyone feels this way. It's like we're meant to walk through life two-by-two and sometimes finding the one to hold your hand all the way is the toughest part. They say love makes life hard. But always remember there's someone out the for everyone and as corny and over-played as it sounds, it's actually true.

In this poem lays the truth, and for that reason I like it a lot. I can recognise myself in this, feeling alieniated by the people we see everyday. I like the layout, it makes the words flow together and highlights the mission in each line and creates the big boom with each verse. It is a sad poem, but sadness is a beautiful kind of beautiful. Keep them comin' !
