Mommy

A Poem by peacewillconquer

Wrote this while I was in a residential placement for behavior issues, just showing some appreciation to my mom.

"
I've never met a woman as loving and forgiving,
You give quite a few people a reason for living.

Always reaching out and trying your best,
You need to give yourself some sort of rest.

You deserve to be the happiest person alive,
I'm just waiting on that time to arrive.

I'm sorry i didn't turn out who you wanted me to be,
What can i say? This is just me.

I'm sorry for driving you crazy and making you worry,
Those days for me were pretty darn blurry.

I still don't understand how you haven't given up,
All those times i made you feel like you might just erupt.

All i'm saying is i know i let you down along the way,
There's really not much else to say.

Except i realize now what i put you through,
All that's left to say is,
I LOVE YOU..
