Another World

Another World

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander

Metaphor for change a new year brings

Stepped into another day
Just moments seemed to pass away
But try as may
I could not stay
Where life had been before that day

Lost on pages left behind
Memories, the loving kind
What's gone is gone
No sense to long
For what today has left behind

Another world must lie ahead
Another day, new paths to tread
A rainbow sky
A reason why
Breathe deep and move one step ahead
