Quiet Guy

Quiet Guy

A Poem by Adam Light

Off in the corner, I sit and think.

They believe that I'm a quiet guy.

But if they gave me pen and ink,

they'd see with writing I'm not shy.

I always do have quite a bit to say,

but I don't know if they're prepared.

I don't want to throw my words away

if I fear the truth cannot be shared.

The future is of what I want to speak,

And I want to pose good queries

I want conversation that's unique

And I want to discuss great theories!

Often, I don't want to speak;

I want to learn and get things done

but I should give you all a chance

because it could be really fun.
