Good-bye

This is an old poem that I wrote in high school... It was for a creative writing class. We had to take lyrics from different songs, and make them into a poem.

 Before I let you go, I’m gonna beg you to hang on,

I wouldn’t have traded you for the world.

 

But we have to walk along winding roads,

That lead us to things that you can’t understand

 

I couldn’t have made it without you,

But we are blinded by lies.

 

I’ll fight the tears in time,

And try to break away from the beautiful you.

 

I stumble on the path I’m living on,

But where are you going to be when I’m gone?

 

Now I say for every tear you have made me cry,

There’s another good reason I say good-bye.
