Rose Petals

Social Workers are like Petals on a Rose.

All start out as Rosebuds,
Educating themselves and Gaining Knowledge
Until they Burst Forth
A collective of Vibrant Colors
Whose purpose is to Uplift and Heal our Spirits.

Some are there for the moment
--When you need them most--
Then are carried off by the wind.

But mostly, they hang in there for the Duration.

Wherever they are
Look fondly upon their Successes,
And should they begin to wilt,
Remind these educated flowers that
Any Failures shall Fall Away as
Brown-edged Lessons Learned.
