Never Ending

Never Ending

A Poem by Perdition

Whatever claims your fate or head or sinful notion
Fluttering in from space or some other plastic temple
Whatever breaks that midnight stare
Trailing in dispersant shadows,

The face of it hanging on the wall
Sways a crooked hat that runs to some cherry crypt ‘morn

Whatever blushing star,
Fragrant sound, or distant hush
Spell binds your reason
Like an untouched ovary against the galaxy

Whatever was will never fade
Inviting a seed of perception, a pain, a want
To walk
Along all that has deserted

Whatever slit this world into two and yours within
Be it shackled or winged
Spoke its wounds into your ear
And aged like sweet knowing mountain air
Relieving the story from its weight
Obsessing the obsession
Only now
What is out there
Is within

The mysticism and surrealism in this piece is outstanding.

My pleasure!
dear Perdition...a calm rendition of our existence...
since I am aged like sweet knowing mountain air...
I think it fair to tell you that I thrive on the song of birds
and the sweet nectar of flowers sipped by hummingbirds.
"What is out there is within". A "blushing star... like an untouched ovary
against the galaxy" is worth a million wishes. truly, Pat

I like how this one projects the microcosm to the macrocosm without coming from a standpoint of being preachy and sermonizing.

Thanks and will try. Will Smith? ..Interesting spin.
Deep. I really would like to know how this poem came to be/was inspired. What sound, or what notion moved such intensely delving thoughts to be written down and then typed up. I like this poem, its certainly isn't something to just brush over but rather reread several times over. Think on, and ponder... well written indeed. What meaning was the central core concept that you were intending on expressing with this?
Thanks for sharing!

Your words are so deep and profound, Perdition. The image is perfect too. I understand them on a very personal level. “ Like an untouched ovary against the galaxy”- brilliant simile. Language, flow, theme all amazing. Vibrations, Obsessions intrude on our quiescent wavelengths, overcome our filters. Profound poem.

I'm sure there is a lot of meaning in this that I missed, as I am not always so bright, but this is beautiful and flows really well. Great job :)
