A Poem by Perdition

Silence in every sound

my tired hands tremble

there is only this dim last hour here with me

this last passage read in rage

this world, this world,

This world is a leopard's eye

and the coil of it feeds

I am its agony burned in two

And you

You are the sound and silence

the last in me

released

Oh, now I gotcha...lol. Sorry may have to wait a bit longer. Smiles Amster..:)
well we are not going gentle into that good night.
the last passage read as the light is extinguished...
the last sound and the silence converge...
like for poor Hamlet.
another really good one, Perdition.

So beautifully rendered, poised with elegance and depth - this is deeply moving Perdition, some essence of light stay lit long after the tides take away the brightness...lovely piece, stay well :)

it was no problem at all.
I feel the energy slipping away here of something or even someone who burned so brightly. A release, a goodbye. They are never easy.

This sounds like someone saying goodbye before death takes them. It’s a sad tale.

There many goodbyes in all different forms
The addressee is unnamed, but the speaker comes across as one who is conducting a last meeting with someone valued before his execution. I detect some regret but no remorse. It is the voice of one who views life as a struggle and who has done what he thought he must.
