Never Ending

Never Ending

A Poem by Perdition
"

"

Whatever claims your fate, your mind or sinful notion,

whatever flutters in from some distant planet or plastic temple,

whatever breaks you from your midnight stare

hovering in despondent shadows

has nailed itself to a cryptic morn

and sways against your wall

Whatever blushing star,

fragrant sound, or distant hush

took away this life and yours within it

like an untouched ovary against the galaxy

Whatever is will never fade

inviting the seed from the self to bloom

and walk from all that has since deserted

Whatever slit this world in two

and yours within

be it shackled or winged

has whispered its wound into your ear

and aged like sweet mountain air

obsessing the obsession

releasing the story from its weight

only now

what was without

is within

Sometimes letting go of certain things or even people releases a burden and weight we have been carrying deep inside our hearts, minds and souls. When we do this we let down those walls that we have constructed to protect again being vulnerable and hurt as life has shown on more than one occasion. Many time we are locked inside our own mental prison

will never fade
inviting the seed from the self to bloom
and walk from all that has since deserted

Whatever slit this world in two
and yours within
be it shackled or winged
has whispered its wound into your ear
and aged like sweet mountain air
obsessing the obsession
releasing the story from its weight
only now
what was without
is within

This stanzas made me think of the walls and letting them crumble allowing breath to flow once more and something new to begin

Like an untouched ovary against the galaxy----love this line....
