Close Enough

A poem about messing up when nervous.

I feel queasy and my hands sweat,
I like you a lot, even though we just met.

You are so handsome, and I am so plain.
When I see you I feel like I'll faint.

I look into your eyes, ready to speak
all of a sudden my knees feel weak.

I open my mouth, thoughts race through my head.
Oops, I kind of just slapped you instead.

Close enough.
