Subliminal Subconscious Self

Subliminal Subconscious Self

From my mysterious mind’s eye

Envisaged elegiac swimming cantos

Crest the oceans of my imagination

Just below an undulating surface

Flowing driftwoods of creativeness

Slowly surface to virgin white pages

Squid’s ink drips athwart parchment

As I submerge deeper into psyche

Descending to a silted bedded abyss

Subliminal subconscious self persona

Unlocked from sunken treasure chest

Discharges vast kraken sized inspirations

Froth fizzing of aerated poetic stanzas

Permeate from subterranean feelings

Each bubble a poignant word of prose

Writing from the depth of my mortality

Free from restrictive anchors of rituality

I cast writes upon life’s giving waters

Magnificent poem dear Phill! The amazing picture and words immerse us in the poet’s subconscious world of inspiration and creation, using brilliant imagery from the depths of the sea- wonderful metaphors, personification, alliteration. Verses are lyrical and magical with great language, cadence, rhyme. “Subliminal subconscious self persona..Unlocked...”- yes. Master-Class writing from the Octopuses’ Garden my friend.

Thanks for your great review :-)
WOW! WOW! And WOW! This is another one of your mind-stimulating word-crafting blitzes! I can’t even imagine how your mind must operate, to think up these images & craft them in a wide variety of rarely-used vocabulary perfectly selected for each spot! I love using unusual words & many times people tell me they can’t understand my writing becuz of this. But here you’ve sent me to google often – not becuz I can’t understand your poetry, but becuz I want to understand it better (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A great read, and such vivid imagery rising from those sunken beds in the depths of your mind. Rich language used. Well done Phill.

You are welcome. Have a great day.
Absolutely love this one. The dual imagery of the writer and "kraken sized inspirations" is just perfect. Wonderful read. Thanks for sharing!

They should be always:) your very welcome
How much time did it take you to write this ...I was wondering.... :)
I like the squid ink and the parchment....

Others I need to Google ...peacefully... :)
But it has a mystic feel to it....
And always worth reading...

Ah ... that you always manage to achieve... :)
So many new words for me in this poem that I'm not sure I actually know what I read. Whatever it was it was really beautiful, I loved it.
