You Never Know

You Never Know

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Well well well....

"

You Never Know

Six foot handsome supercilious Brad

Was known to be a womanising cad

His spectacles were a designer quest

Engraved with the words I’m the Best

Heartbreaks were reputably planned

In his lifestyle relationship wasteland

But what goes around comes around

As this saying is now often renowned

Iniquitous escapades found retribution

As fate conceded a strange conclusion

Problems within his treasured manhood

Needed remedial surgery to make good

So off to hospital went the smarmy lad

And into white infirmary robe was clad

The surgeon was called Mr R E Invited

And it turned out he was very farsighted

For misinterpreting operational briefing

His actions would leave Brad seething

For what the scalpel did was not coerced

He thought it read remove testicles first

Thus Brad’s gallivanting came to an end

And what happened next must be penned

For he changed his name to Brandy Snap

Transgendered and ran off with a Mr Capp

Now they both reside on an Austrian farm

Asparagus growers and enjoying the charm

Just goes to prove the future can be fickle

When destiny welds its sharp edged sickle

Whether it’s intentional, a mistake or genetic, at least this story had a somewhat happy ending ( we think). I know people who have gone back and forth from straight to transgender; for this very macho man, it was a tragedy of sorts, but managed to deal with this. A well written piece. I enjoyed your rhyming too! Great!

ha ha ha....Brad got his just desserts...the trans-gendered kind...some Creme Brule perhaps.
a snappy limerick here, Phill...
a much needed smile.
