Isolation Blues

Isolation Blues

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

Feelin' in a blues music mood...

"

Isolation Blues

(Lyrics)

These four blank walls are a shrinkin’ doin’ in my brain

An’ I swear bitter piercing silence is drivin’ me insane

Couch crumpled contemplating in feelings of dejection

I’m a grabbin’ my guitar as a means of soul protection

Sippin’ bourbon aids a strummin’ old fret board strings

Liftin’ me up from isolation blues on melodic tab wings

(Chorus)

Mantle clock cracks like a jackhammer

Pulse banging minutes in my head

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed

(Lyrics)

Slight lowerin’’ of the pitch gets me in mysterious mood

An’ my twelve bar progression ignites poignant attitude

Improvised spontaneity is just beginnin’ to hammerin’ flow

And my inner spiritual rhythmic pulsations currently aglow

Nimble fingers now responding to my moody imaginations

Raises me cadence above nearby abnormal modifications

(Chorus)

Mantle clock cracks like a jackhammer

Pulse banging minutes in my head

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed

(Lyrics … end sequence)

Sippin’ bourbon aids a strummin’ old fret board strings

Liftin’ me up from isolation blues on melodic tab wings

Sippin’ bourbon aids a strummin’ old fret board strings

Liftin’ me up from isolation blues on melodic tab wings

(Part Chorus)

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed... fade...

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed... fade...

Can’t wait for another sad sunset

So I can withdraw to my safe bed... fade...

D****t ... now I gotta drag out the old Ovation (the blues always sound better on an acoustic) and start tinkerin'.

I'm singing about Ole Phil Oz O'Fee
and laying down his blues
if I can string some chords together
I'll surely pay my dues.

Hey ... maybe I'm on to something ... nah. ;>}

Good one Phil.
