Treasure Trove

Treasure Trove

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee

Treasure Trove

Secret buried desires

Stockpiled in spectacular splendour

Lay inactive and untouched within

A clandestine container

Delicately engraved

Upon a personal parchment reverie

You’ll find this heart’s extraordinary map

Containing cryptic clues

Awaiting only

A unique singular soul seeker

To unravel the puzzle’s plan

And claim a precious prize

At a predestined moment

I will feel a tentative tender touch

Turning the key in the lock

Of my treasure trove

And as Tom Petty sang, "The waiting is the hardest part..." This was great. It really had some great phraseology and it may seem strange but the ending felt like a key being turned in a lock. It's really quite romantic as well. I enjoyed the read.

Oooo! that "special someone" :) who can masterfully, magically turn that key on, and then our heart and soul completely bare before their eyes :) love this my friend, it gives me enthusiastic feelings of anticpation💞
