Footprints in the sand of memory
subjected to high and low tides
silently fading as soon as it's etched in the soggy mush of our brains.

Much truth in these words. It's why I find out memories to be some of the most important things humanity has. For it is a reality that all things in the world around do change and will eventually vanish from practical sight. Great Words!
