Lithosphere

A Poem by Daniel88Batson

Underground,
With nothing but a bouquet
And a daydream.
Testosterone confides
In the iron core of their world.
Shadows dance for them
As paternity lingers over the shoulder,
Failing to protect a feeble ego
From primitive pick up lines.

Had to read it twice.. this is one of those pieces that van have multiple interpretations.. I think this talks about deprived souls; people who are emotionally and socially deprived... sometimes it's their pride or stony outer self that drive them at these junctures of life... There is a sense of something left to be said, a incompleteness that i find in this piece, something that enhances the versatility of this piece... Nicely penned down i must say.. :)
