My new hate

My new hate

A Poem by Phillip J Clayton

Look down on me and see your god;

Born against the will to exist;

Mother's milk fed the beasts;

Thousands strong, we become one;

Suffer the days to come;

Against the tyranny of peace we will stand!

A riot for the ages;

A new prejudice for the races;

Protect your love is what was learned;

Destroy to rebuild;

Fire and steel, in ash they weep!

No one is safe!

Words!

The result of human failure;

Fists are stronger when they punch together;

Eulogies echo in every ear;

Compassion smiles from a far;

Hungry flies buzzing in a jar;

I have a new prejudice;

I have a new hate!

New victims for a hated race!

Humanity - The last disgrace.

WOW this is great. I love how it's like tons of statements formed together to show that cutting down other races or religions do us no good, It just proves how much we all disgrace humanity.
It was very smart how you wrote the third and the very last stanza, how you explained how we tend to do the worst with many involved.
I truly enjoyed your poem.
