Sleep

Sleep

A Poem by Phillip J Clayton

If only we could sleep;

Alive in our dreams.

Void of pain.

The world is a scary place,

It doesn't feel like mine;

Get away.

I Don't want the world to know;

Know that you're mine.

Take me far away

Feels good to be so hollow;

Don't care to be here,

the whispers never end.

At sunrise,

In the shadow of the sun.

Dead once and for all

In the professional space, I am almost a diety... I say that with the greatest of humility. In my personal life I am frail and a primitive man... Self-actualization is not all it's cracked up to be. .. more..
