Defiance

Defiance

A Poem by Phillip J Clayton

Self destructive;

Pulsating urge for death;

Drugged and drunk.

Repeated faces, same places;

Each day exactly the same...

Mundane actions.

It's not that they bore me;
Detached, life...existing.
They are all fun I'm sure...

Suffocating air, hovering;
Already dead to a dying world.

Sell you my hate;
Sell it with me;
To have it you have to eat it;
If it doesn't know your name kill it.

Forbidden in heaven;
Useless in hell...Leave me now.

In the professional space, I am almost a diety... I say that with the greatest of humility. In my personal life I am frail and a primitive man... Self-actualization is not all it's cracked up to be. .. more..
