Preventing Possibilities

I've learned to lower my expectations 
Straying from any disappointment
Expecting the worst of every situation
Seeking any good within the bad

Fearful I stunt greater possibilities 
Due to my insecurities 
Maybe I'm still very lost 
Maybe it's just another lesson

Question my inner thoughts 
I can't seem to think quite properly 
Everything seems so perfect one minute 
Next you know It feels so damn empty
