"Kassidy's Poem"

A Poem by PoeT4994
"

Wrote this for a girl. Twas a personal request.

"
Have you ever seen the stars in a persons skin?
I know she’s famous, because she’s got stars runnin’ all up and down her skin.
She reminds me of a time when thick was beautiful.
And she would be upper class.
She has a body like constellations.
And she doesn’t need to be that tall, the sun still knows not to mess with the solar beauty burning in her eyeballs.
Have you ever seen a Goddess break down into a human.
Y’all, I have.
And let me say something, I’ve been different ever since.
The clouds never seem to fall as soft as her lips do.
I...I’ve only hugged her once.
I’ve been afraid to call another girl pretty ever since.
I don’t like to lie.
Have you ever seen perfection laugh?
It’s like bottle rockets colliding with the skyline.
It’s like river stones and sun shower puddles.
Her skin, I heard, was painted the perfect caramel, 35, 000 years before she was born.
Flawless takes time.
See, there once was an Egyptian queen, by the name of Kassidy Leon.
Leon, like lion, that’s why ancient’s worshipped cats.
And if you look through history, you’ll find, that the first time she blushed...
you could hear the walls crying because they would never be able to touch her back.
And the tears broke stories of every syllable of her name into themselves.
We now know these as heiroglyphics.
The first Mona Lisa’s.
The first paintings of a human being so fit to fit fine that pyramids bowed to her.
She has a body like an hour glass.
And you hope to God that the sand never runs out.
I got to ask you...have you ever watched the stars collide into themselves.
If you have, then maybe you know what it’s like to stare into her eyes during a conversation.
I have been sung to by the silence that follows her.
The gaping awe.
And the first time my friend Gean Lominy pointed her out at his middle school’s soccer game, you heard the universe stop talking for a second.
Just long enough to hear me go...
DAMN SHE FINE!!!!!
Loll.
Now this isn’t my best, but I hope you like it.
Just a quick tidbit for you.
