Final Moment of Return

We fought for you a war I was enlisted

To ensure our lives are safe and persisted

To aid those not in our own country side

To insure everyone has peace I did in pride

I fought the war, I seen the ugly effects

The general ideas in a war death deflects

I learned by rule harden my division

Remove what I see make no decision

Becoming a tool a device of death

Fighting for freedom my last breath

Watching the enemy use a device

Exploded in pain my buddy demise

I return home, I'm struggling in pain

Worse off now I life I can't regain

My dreams shattered held by war

No support at home my pockets tore

I am alone and wounded, the warrior said

I have no benefits and life, left for dead

My country said thanks for what I gave

Willing to shun me to my own grave

I am the hero that no one seems to care

I fought the war and came back to despair

Thank you America I feel right at home

Now send me back to war so I can roam
