"The colors of man are colorless..."

"The colors of man are colorless..."

A Poem by Ngoc M. Nguyen
"

A sonnet about tolerance and equality in the symbol of the colorlessness of humanity.

"

The colors of man are colorless: white,

black, yellow, or red makes no difference

in the life-and-death crush of existence

that shocks, rocks its might; but is wrong, not right!

Invisible, like stealth it comes like night

and day refreshed, like a deliverance

about to break in two intolerance,

it's hatred's ugly bite, ignorance's height.

It looks right, has the slight appearance of

air and sheer light splashed soft and wet like dew,

like grace distilled then purified with love,

vision, spirit and clear sight in hearts anew;

white or black, red or gold, colors remove

when colors swirl and blend into one hue.
