Silent Love...

Silent Love...

A Poem by Tori Jones

She was the girl
Who never spoke
She hid in the shadow
Afraid and alone
Because she'd rather hide
Than be seen
For she had many problems
And was afraid of talking
To other people
And afraid of walking
On the road that was known
To be full of joy
For she was stripped of hope
And only wanted to be known
But nobody could ever see
All of the things
She eventually could be
So as it turns out
All because of her doubt
She died alone
For little did she know
The guy across the room
Never wanted her to go....

Okay, so this one was....mindblowing. Literally mindblowing. I loved the last three lines, the way they add power to the whole poem. I enjoyed reading it. Good work. :)

Thanks so much....
Hi Tori,
I've read only a few of your poems so far. They have a gentle and sincere flavor to them from what I can surmise. I am extremely opinionated. Please forgive me for that. I want to make this simple observation. I sense there are people who have not been kind to you. Shame on them. People who hurt other people diminish themselves as human beings. I am enjoying your creations. Keep up the good work.
Take care. Earl

Well we all have problems but we try to hide from the world. One thing I have learned is you can never be happy unless you be true to yourself. You can't hide what you feel. It will never go away. It make be covered by other feeling but it is there just under the layers. As long as your true you will never be wrong. You can't hide from someone like you they knew you better the. You may know yourself. I love how this is so full of heart and it should give people hope there is always someone for you. No matter how you think you are you are worthy and loved by someone. They will find you and never let that love go with out a fight. Yours truely a mad lord

Alone without company, but not alone with these thoughts. Sometimes we fail to see the pain behind the eyes of so many, who live in silence, though have the most to be said. In todays world, we need to scream to be heard, but some ears are far too delicate for the noise this creates.
Beautifully captured Tori, if only what people said was more like this in reality.

Yes, it is....
sometimes we are so afraid of love, that when it comes to enlighten us, we hide in the shadows and miss the chance.

Yeah......
This one resonated with me, particuarly because I see myself as "The guy across the room" who "never wanted her to go." Sometimes, you never know how much others care about you, especially if you're the quiet type.

To me, this piece represented how little we can know about someone else. In the same way that no one knew how depressed the main character was, the main character never knew that someone cared about her. It's amazing how much others can admire us, even when we think we're unworthy of admiration. That's why I loved the last two lines: they completed the overall theme of the poem . . . the ending made this piece both sad and profound. I enjoyed.
