Into the Deepest Sea

Into the Deepest Sea

A Poem by Melinda McQueen
"

Let Him guide you.

"
Waves crash
In astounding form.
Nothing is lacked
From its source.

Raging beyond control,
It lives out its destiny.
As wind it blows
Where it’s meant to be.

Life tosses around
As a game of Ping-Pong;
Sometimes there is no sound
To your life’s song.

Washed up and drenched,
Feeling bogged down by the current,
You feel the stench
Of the silence.

It flows, it turns,
It rises, it beats,
It ever yearns,
This ever moving sea.

So, keep swimming through it.
Swim through it all.
There is a Lighthouse lit,
And for you He calls.

I read this, then read it again. Then thought of my own life. Then read it again. Then thought
about Mo Green from the "Godfather" and how all his energy was derived from 'what he had
done', not what he could do. That life's fiction and life's truth is a creamy mixture of
perseverance and self loathing; of how I don't want to die just yet, not with my personal
lighthouse still siting, lit, shining and painted white. Great thoughts to ponder.

beautifully written....dana

Life is a struggle from beginning to the end. We just need to keep pushing toward the prize, our Lord and Savior. Valentine

You are welcome.
The lighthouse keeper is a man or a woman of incredible devotion to the saving of lives and secondarily property. He is there for you with everything he knows about the current weather patterns and his little corner of the sea. If it help you need, then it is help that you will get.

I read this and i remember little contests we used to have when we were kids
the only way to win
is to simply let everyone bang heads
and you just stay standing up
thats all you need to do

To me that is life my friend
Just be the last man standing

Excellent write

"Nothing is lacked " please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears you wanted "Latched or lacking. I keep reading it and it may just be me. You decide.

Really this in not high on my list of your work. I don't mean there is anything wrong with it, but it is not up to your standard writing. It feels forced. Thanks, Again it may just be me. Sound like a poem.
