Planting Seeds

Planting Seeds

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Like the rain nourishes the land,

The heart of man

Is thirsty for more

Than what they implore.

We as Christians have the great honor and responsibility

Of telling others about the love of Christ freely.

There is such a need,

A duty in planting seeds.

What a blessing to be used

By God to make lives new.

To be a vessel of His grace

In revealing the power in His Name.

A gift to open,

Hard soil to tend.

Plowing through until it penetrates…

Planting seeds before it’s too late.

The realization in eyes,

The first time their faith reaches the sky.

A hope anew,

A rebirth into truth.

How sweet it is

To be ever cherished

By God who we shall all meet

If we continue planting seeds.
