Intimately Thine

 

I feel Thee near

When I am in a hushed silence.

Enveloping me in Thy love,

I feel Thy Presence.

 

There are times necessary

To shut the world out and be with the Divine.

Hold me in Thy peace,

I want to be intimately Thine.

 

Cleanse my mind, O God,

Purify my heart to Thee.

For I desire to hear

Thy whispers on the inside of me.

 

Fold back anything not of Thee.

No, tear it all away until there’s nothing to find…

But the precious love of Jesus.

My need is to be intimately Thine.

 

Fill me with Thy lovingkindness,

Place within me Thy power.

For Thou art my strength

Every day, every hour.

 

Saved by Thee,

A child of God am I.

For Christ was born to die so I could be

Intimately Thine.
