The Wedding DayA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Wedding Day
The most romantic day and the most intimate. For my beloved and I vowed to love one another all our days. Promises stood in the presence of our faithful God, As He blessed our fateful union… Placing us as one under His umbrella of protection. The invisible string knitted us together… not by threads of two, but of three. As tears filled my eyes, so too did love waterfall in my heart. An anchor for two hearts to become one… is He. This was the wedding day of my husband and me. And there is another wedding day we eagerly await. For the Beloved will come in the clouds… coming for His bride… To take her away to eternity’s heavenly home. O how I long for that day… the day I see my Jesus’s face! To stand in His glory by my own accord… oh wait… it will be by His! The promise of His return revealed when at last, He removes the veil. The vow of His promises made complete, manifested before me. O what a beautiful union… the Creator and His creation. Worshipping at His feet… all the saints gathered together evermore. The most romantic day and the most intimate: The Wedding Day.
