In His Glory

In His Glory

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

In His Glory

King of kings, He came as a baby,

To fulfill the promise.

Lord of lords, He is worthy of worship,

Forever to be cherished.

God in His mercy came down

To pour out His love and grace.

A tiny baby held the Lord’s compassion.

Could it be seen upon His face?

In His glory, did the Baby Jesus come

To save us all.

An act of love He would show

In taking the fall.

For Christ came from the Father

In all power and might.

With love in His beating heart,

He would make everything right.

How greatly He is to be praised,

How precious His soul.

Stepping down from heaven,

The King of kings left His throne.

Let Him be glorified,

O heaven and earth.

In His glory let us praise

As we celebrate our Savior’s birth.

Beautiful as always! simple but powerful words you chose, giving this the depth it needed but also you let the poem stand on its own
