Like the Dream River

 

Flow, flow, flow,

Let it all go.

The current strong,

It moves along.

 

Its speed, fierce,

As the surface is pierced

With the power of what it is,

Its form, distinguished.

 

Flow, flow, flow,

Never stop its shine.

Let the dream in you…

Like the river, be true.

 

It glitters beneath the sun,

To the end from whence it begun

Taking shape,

It knows the way.

 

Though at time it feels like it’s always upstream,

It’s still flowing the same, but at a different speed.

Knowing its destination,

It was a grand creation.

 

Flow, flow, flow,

Let your dreams glow

As the night’s moon shimmers

Like the dream river.

Life is like the river. The current drives us along. Having lived by the river for most of my life, I would say it also flows in my veins.
