If Tomorrow Were Yesterday

 

If tomorrow were yesterday--

Would I go about it a different way?

If I knew how it would go,

Would I want it to show?

 

If today, time I could borrow

By re-living yesterday as tomorrow,

What would I do?

Would I view yesterday anew?

 

If tomorrow were yesterday--

I could remedy my mistakes.

I could unshed tears

And dismiss my fears.

 

Perhaps I could hold my tongue

And not jump the gun.

I could undo my wrongs

And let my strife alone.

 

Would I waste time

In falling behind?

Or would I waste today

In thinking of yesterday gone astray?

 

If tomorrow were yesterday--

Tonight, when on my pillow my head I lay,

A prayer I would offer in sorrow,

Wishing tomorrow were tomorrow.

A very deep thought inspiring poem
I long to be able to set my life’s mistakes wrongs right and my rights wrong
But I gave up
We just need to accept what is
My dear grandfathers saying we lived with
His fav quote to end all conversations and fights or dramas gave a simple statement
“What is is”
So true my mum then carried that on as well in her advice to me
We can’t Really change anything only perhaps the future by choices
