He Goes Before Me

 

It amazes me

That all the plans of my life

Were laid out even before my first breath.

How tears fill these eyes!

Setting my path in motion,

Laying the groundwork.

Designed for greatness,

He goes before me.

 

My desires He has placed in my heart,

Knowing each by name.

Intending to fulfill each for His glory,

He has brought blessings to the appointed day.

 

Instilling love to my heart,

Just as life He breathed

Into me, making a way,

He goes before me.

 

Imparting all the faith I would need,

He built my life in His divine plan.

Whatever He wanted to be,

Would surely stand.

 

Having a plan in mind,

He gave me faith to dream.

Point by point,

He goes before me.
