A Light Shone Through the DoorA Poem by Melinda McQueenA Light Shone Through the Door
A
light shone through the door, Little
Mallory didn’t like the dark,
Lord, I’m so scared, I don’t like the dark. Please
keep me safe,
Years down the road, Mallory was in college. Experiencing
new-found freedom,
All
was going great, No
time to pray,
But
it didn’t last, Though
she cried, she didn’t feel she should pray
Weeks
trudged on, Lost
and helpless,
Lord, I’m so scared, I don’t like the dark. Please keep me safe, Are you with me? Please let me know if You are!
Just
then, upon opening her eyes,
