When Shadows Become Light

When Shadows Become Light

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

When Shadows Become Light

When shadows become light

As the darkness altogether fades,

Crimson stains wash white.

No more fright,

No more shades of gray,

When shadows become light.

Making the once wrong, right,

The heavy price was paid.

Crimson stains wash white.

Darkness of night

Shines as the noon day,

When shadows become light.

Ev’ry sorrow, ev’ry plight

Comes into submission ‘neath His gaze.

Crimson stains wash white.

In the Father’s sight,

Jesus bore the cross of our shame.

When shadows become light,

Crimson stains wash white.

Thanks for reading and taking time to review.
A poem with a religious perspective. From my own viewpoint, light obliterates shadow, and that is certainly inspiring to me. Elegantly penned dear Melinda.
