The Star Shone the Way

 

A shining star shone bright

In the night sky.

Leading the way to the new-born King,

It was aglow with divine strength.

 

Blinking in miraculous wonder,

Unlike no other.

For the holy life it did display,

The star shone the way.

 

In following the star,

Brought the wise men from afar.

Seeking the blessed hope,

Knowing they weren’t alone.

 

For there was a new baby with His mother,

Unlike no other,

So, following suit,

The star shone the way in full view.

 

At last, the wise men beheld Jesus’s face,

Bowing, before Him, gifts did they lay.

In awe of the child before them

In the town of Bethlehem.

 

Infamous for all His holy thunder,

Unlike no other,

For He’s come to save.

This Star is the way.
