well done! our Creator really did mean for us with purpose .. never does God want to diminish our lives .. only to remove so much we place in our hearts that in truth .. does not deliver what we expect .. but the opposite .. i think this poem reflects the deep yet simple wisdom of when a person has the blinders lifted .. and freely gives all up so space is made for our Loving Creator .. well said .. a blessed poem that blesses me a lot this morning, McQueen .. thanks for sharing!

Hmmm...so you and God have been getting it on? shouldn't that be more private?
Give me a break. Dropping in "thee's" and "thou's" to make your work sound biblical? You think God wants to be addressed in stilted archaic language? If you look into it, you'll see that when the King James version translation was made, that crap had already been dropped from general use. They included such language only to sound pretentious. The translation was begun in 1604. But, it's believed that by about 1575 "you" had become more common than thou as an addressing form for second person.
But here you are, over 400 years later, doing the same thing.
And here you are, pretending to bow and scrape before God, as if He reads the posts on Writers Cafe. But he closed his account back in 2013.

You mean the guy who supposedly floated endlessly in space till he decided to make "heaven and earth?" The guy who has lungs but had no air to breathe? The one with a mouth and digestive system when there was nothing to eat? The guy who had a body meant for walking on a 1G planet when there were no planets? The one with a penis but no Mrs. God?
That one? The guy who made us "In our image, according to our likeness?" The one who created all the men AND women on day six of the creation that started with a wet planet, then started over and created one man on day one on a planet where it never rains?
Remember, Moses saw God's a*s at the burning bush affair, and he didn't remark on his being a giant, or in any way different in construction. So this guy with a pretty close to human sized brain can create galaxys at will but can't/won't cure covid?
So yes, I do see a problem or two. But maybe you can explain:
1. Supposedly, The stars were created as an afterthought: "he also made the stars." And he did that about 5782 years ago. Yet the light from stars trillions of light-years away is, and has been reaching us (and please, don't tell me that he created and aimed each photon between those stars and everywhere else, individually, for each star of every galaxy. Aside from being absurd, an intelligent deity would let the light arive when it arrives, so each night there would be more stars, thus proving his existence anew every night.
So the question is: Why did someone that powerful screw up the human brain that badly?
2. There are more than a billion people on Erth right now. Yet the claim is that God is aware of each, and planning for us individually—while at the same time, interacting with the sum total of those who have ever lived, and are in "heaven" now. Seems to me that's not a being, that's a computer.
And that doesn't address the four-legged talking snake, murdering the population of the planet with magically appearing water, or, condoning the rape of human women by his staff in heaven, as reported in the Jewish Bible.
The thing to remember is that belief, no matter how strong, has absolutely nothing to do with the accuracy of that belief. And the ford Faith, means believing something with no evidence, or, IN SPITE of any evidence to the contrary.
You need to read Mark Twain's, Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven. There's an excerpt on The Gutenberg collection, here:
