The Water

The Water

 

The water

Is amazingly clear.

It flows from the fountain,

Fully able to heal.

 

Washing away

Doubt and fear,

It nourishes all it finds,

Bringing all hearts near.

 

The water
knows only one gear.

Its stream constant,

And goes everywhere.

 

Stirring hearts

To know… to hear

His thundering voice

When gloriously He appears.

Water is mightily important to all of us. A basis for life itself, and containing so much symbolism, with nourishing and spiritual qualities. Flowing water also imparts a feeling a peace and calm, I have always thought. An enjoyable read.

My mind wandered away from religion when I read this piece Melinda and focused more on the need for clean water for all. What most of us take for granted is still a luxury in some parts of the world. There are still children dying from drinking dirty water.

Your strong faith inspires your poetry. May you always have that Melinda.
