Of Redeeming Love

 

Forever strong and forever faithful,

Loyalty throughout the many ages.

Limitless grace guarantees a mighty

Work forever to be bestowed upon.

His workings of the heavens are exalted,

The earth breathes in reverence of the Lord.

 

Creation shouts many a praise to Him,

Bowing in awe beneath His mighty hand.

Decades come and decades scatter with haste,

Centuries are born and centuries fade.

But forever abiding is His love,

Forever holding in His firm embrace.

 

What kind of love saturates the parched soil?

What kind of love cleanses the wanting heart?

Choosing to take the encompassing loss,

The God of the universe paid the price.

The purest of love stripped bare, suffering

The great weight of the world’s offending cross.

 

His Name captivates and astonishes,

Setting the Living Word into motion.

Fulfilling His ultimate planned mercy,

His light shining the only way to Him.

Breaking many a chain, removing stains,

Jesus Christ was birthed of redeeming love.
