An Anthem to Win

An Anthem to Win

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

An Anthem to Win

Crimes committed daily.

Hurting people hurt people,

The hurt cutting deeper.

No one is free.

Hatred flows as spilled ink.

Covering the soul in darkness,

In complete distress.

It penetrates before you can blink.

Yet love still reigns.

It covers a multitude of wrongs,

Flooding the heart which unfolds.

Love heals hate… love remains

Desiring to be an anthem song.

Love ever flows.

I agree dear Melinda.
"Love heals hate… love remains
Desiring to be an anthem song.
Love ever flows."
The above lines. Perfect and wonderful.

Thank you for reading.
Love creates. Hate destroys. Truth sets you free but deception makes slaves. It was the same in the Garden of Eden. We have the biggest liar in our country sitting in the Oval Office right now. I so despise Joe Biden because he is an obsessive compulsive liar who wouldn't know the truth if it bit him. If fact it has come back to bite him time and time again.

I so agree with you. It's a sad, sad thing.
Good observation here. Beyond the ghastly events we read about in the news, there is love. It casts out fear.
