"A childs dream"

"A childs dream"

A Poem by Night

Once again and never more
I travel through an unknown door.
To live the dream in colors bright
One must dance in midnight's light.
Often dreamed but never seen...
Memories ride on moonlights gleen.
Stars beyond light heavens door
Kings and Queens and dragons lore.
Alas the sound of sunlight's day
Return me once again what may.
Until the night and darkness bright
I'll live my dreams on starlit nights.

Lovely. It flows so flawlessly, almost as if it has a magical current that sweeps me up and I discover it to be actually a mighty relief. Dreams are often so mysterious yet intriguing to me even as a child. As a child however certain images, colors and such had so much more meaning and interest. I hope I am making sense. This poem just made me think about dreams from my childhood versus dreams as a adult. Well penned.
