Listen

Listen

A Poem by Karci Clest

Listen.

Do you hear?

The clash of dropping tears?

The memories of long years?

Look.

what do you see?

A young girl, crying?

A teenager, bleeding?

Do something.

What do you do?

Tell someone?

No, of course not.

Look.

what do you see.

A big bully?

A mean daddy?

Listen.

What do you hear?

Nothing.

Because now that girl has dissapeared.

You had the chance, but you walked away.

Why didn't you take it?

Why didn't you stay?

She needed some love, some warm affection.

In her time of infliction.

did you even care?

Or did you not see?

The horrible things happening.

I guess it's not fair, to go ahead and judge.

But you still resisted, you still didn't budge.

So now this girls dead and it's on your head.

I wouldn't say it was a harsh poem, more that it's true and very sad.
You created some deep emotions and provided an insight that left me thinking.

"Because now that girl has dissapeared." You need to take an 's' away and add a 'p' in the word disappeared.
You are right... this is a harsh poem, but it needed to be to get your point across that you were trying to convey. It was a good write Karci!
