An Argument that Wouldn't Help Anyone

An Argument that Wouldn't Help Anyone

A Story by Kusa Da Shin Avira

Flash fiction story of two young people...

Anne had told me several times not to open the dinged
up old box, but I didn't listen. But it's really that I didn't
want to listen.
"Jay, what did I just tell you!," she said.
"I know what you said, but rebellion is in my blood.
My entire family's like this, we just can't help ourselves enough.
Anne just shook her head, steaming with frustration due to
a husband's lack of obedience, I mean will power.
She grabbed the brass handles of the tired old box and slammed
the lid back on, causing a shuttering slap.
I still haven't seen what's inside of the box. Maybe that's why I
choked the life out of our cat.
Although, it had a nice burial plot to slip into, almost as good as the
Next door neighbor's.
